Unfortunately there was no direct flight from Madrid to Tel Aviv, and I had to get a flight from Madrid to Zurich to Tel Aviv on Swissair. On which, I had the best airline food I have ever had in my life, there was Brie and bread, chicken that was actually good, and some Swiss chocolate pudding for desert, and I actually received real silverware to use. Not that pain-in-the-ass jail-style plasicware that you cant even use to cut the so-called chicken, that I think was just pieces of rubber that fell off the tires with seasoning, the American airlines give you to eat. Anyway, I had about 5 or so hours between flights and when I landed in Zurich, I found some random person at some help desk and found out that its only a 15 minute train ride from the airport to the city center. So I bought a ticket and soon I found myself in Zurich armed with just a map and a camera. After walking around a bit I finally found a place next to the river to get some food before I had to get back to the airport.

Zurich looks lovely. Is that a flower market near the river? I was in Zurich with your Dad, Aunt Sandy, and Poppy many years ago, but I think all I did there was shop for watches. Too bad because it looks like a beautiful city.I seem to appreciate European cities more as I grow older.
perhaps because I was running after two children the first time I went.
