More Istanbul

The Cupola of the Synagogue

The outside, there were two blast doors about 3-4 inches thick and they must have weighed about a ton each

Just me

Finally posting some Istanbul pictures

Now that I have some time to myself (I've been out partying, going to the port, going to the park over the past two days) I can finally post some of the pictures that I took in Istanbul. I took about 130 pictures on the first day so I am only going to post the better/interesting ones, the rest are on facebook.

First up, a friend and I going out on the first night in Turkey

A few shots of the dinner (we had about 12 people with us that night)

The first full day in the tour van, we had 8 people on the tour.

Just some pictures of the dorm room

I have told a couple people about the state of our dorms here and they are a long way from even my freshman room. When I first walked in the room I was like, "How am I going to live here for 5 months...” Now that I am settled in and unpacked its almost livable.

Went to an Israel-Romaina Football Match Yesterday

Some friends and I went to an Israeli national football team match against Romaina last night, and we won 2-1! It wasn't too crowded but it was still pretty cool to see a professonal football game.

Giants win! Giants win!!!

So last night a couple of friends and I went to a microbrewery in the city called the Dancing Camel. You had to buy a ticket online and there were only 100 available because it was an all-you-can-drink, all-you-can-eat, type thing, which was amazing! Anyway, I have absolutely no voice anymore from screaming at the game and we didn't get back until about 5:30 in the morning because of the time difference. Plus it was nice to see utter rejection on the faces of all the Pats fans that night; New York finally got their revenge for 2004!

And a video of the bar.
